Kahr is proud to introduce the latest addition to their double-action compact pistol product line – the Kahr CT380. The new .380 ACP caliber is the fourth pistol in the Kahr Value Series to be introduced in 2014. Earlier this year, Kahr introduced the CT40, CT45, and the CT9.
The new CT380 features a 3.0 inch barrel, an overall length of 5.52 inches and a height of 4.4 inches. It weighs just 11.44 ounces without a magazine. The pistol has a black polymer frame and features 4140 steel inserts molded into the front and back of the frame for added rigidity. It has a machined, solid 416 matte stainless steel slide and a textured polymer grip.
The Kahr CT380 features a lock breech, modified Browning type recoil lug, and features the “safe cam” action and offset recoil lug barrel design found in all Kahr pistols. The result is a compact pistol with very little felt recoil and quick follow-up shots. The pistol features drift adjustable white bar-dot combat rear sight and pinned-in polymer front sight. Lastly, the slide locks back after firing the last round – another feature missing on a number of other value-priced compact semi-auto pistols. The durability and reliability of the CT380 model makes it a strong consideration as a backup gun for law enforcement.
The CW Series have conventional rifling instead of match grade polygonal rifling; the CW Series have a MIM (metal-injection-molded) slide stop lever instead of a machined slide stop lever; the CW Series cannot be retrofitted with night sights because the slide does not have a front dovetail cut; the CW Series slide have fewer machining operations; and the CW Series have simple engraving on the slide instead of rollmarking; and the CW Series are shipped with one magazine instead of two.UPC: 602686047319
