Slide fails to go forward all the way on occasion not allowing round to fully chamber.

Slide intermittently fails to go forward. Is this a spring issue? Could stronger spring help? My son in law and myself bought these guns and both have same issues. Hi is more prominent. I really like the gun just wanted to know if this is common and if a fix is out there. Thanks
