AR stands for armalite style rifle when talking about modern sporting rifles, the term "assault rifle is a questionable term that would only logically denote selective firing modes (semi, auto) smaller cartridges, gas powered & with detachable magazine, it's also arguably a made up term from the 80s "anti gun lobbyists" attempting to scare people ... because of the way it looks, not it's capabilities which do not differ from rugers mini 14, except the ruger looks more like a deer rifle... we firearms enthusiasts have it bad enough , especially in this bassackwards banana on the west coast... can we please change that designation to modern sporting rifle or armalite style rifle? Pretty pleeeeease, I be yer best friend ;)

The DDM4ISR is our Integrally Suppressed AR15 style firearm optimized for the 300 Blackout cartridge. Built around a 9 inch Cold Hammer Forged barrel that is fluted along with a target crown and a standard pistol length gas system, this versatile, high-performance rifle is the complete package, accurately delivering both subsonic and supersonic projectiles downrange with unrelenting reliability. Because the suppressor is an integral part of the barrel, this firearm is ready for service right out of the box. There's no attaching a suppressor and wondering if it's mounted correctly and/or properly aligned. There's no re-zeroing for suppressed vs. unsuppressed fire. The DDM4ISR's integral suppressor extends the barrel to an NFA-required 16 inches in length, so this platform is not classified as a Short Barreled Rifle (SBR) and therefore only requires a single tax stamp (for the suppressor). The suppressor's lightweight outer tube is constructed of durable, heat-resistant metal alloys and coated with a protective high-temperature Cerakote-C finish, which is able of withstanding extreme temperatures and harsh environments. The suppressor is also user-serviceable, so its baffle core can be easily removed for periodic cleaning in order to maintain peak performance.

At the end of its 9 inch barrel sits a permanently-attached sound suppressor whose combined length result in a barrel length over 16 inches. This leaves the ISR as a rifle with a suppressor instead of a short-barreled rifle with a suppressor, all this requiring only one stamp from the ATF instead of two.

The DDM4 ISR is chambered in .300 Blackout and feeds from a majority of standard AR15 pattern magazines that allow for the wider bullet diameter such as the stamped steel and aluminum STANAG pattern magazines or the Daniel Defense polymer magazines. While the standard magazine capacity is 30 rounds, the smaller 5, 10 and 20 round magazines work without issue. This rifle has its gas system tuned for subsonic ammunition but can fire supersonic loads that slightly increase the amount of recoil and wear.

The DDM4 ISR measures anywhere from 31.5 to 34.75 inches long depending on the stock placement and has an unloaded weight of 7.57 pounds, which is really impressive when you consider the size of the suppressor. With a length and weight equal to that of an off-the-shelf AR15, its mobility is just as high yet has the advantage of reduced noise making it much more enjoyable to take to an indoor range.

The DDM4 ISR uses Daniel Defense’s proprietary adjustable stock and pistol grip and has a full-length free-floating handguard that has a rather comfortable octagonal cross-section and Keymod slots that allow you to adjust the position of any front grip you wish to attach. The safety is ambidextrous while the rest of the controls are standard. This rifle’s adjustable stock as a rounded heel that smooths the transition from low- to high-ready while still offering all of the required shoulder support.

The DDM4 ISR is available in all-black, a darker tan color and a gray-green finish, all thanks to a Type-III hard-anodize coating. All of the contacting surfaces inside the rifle are either honed or polished, and this offers an incredibly smooth experience both in manipulation and shooting. The suppressor that’s included requires a bit of extra care to ensure that it’s kept clean in order to get the most life out of it.
