Marlin 1894 CSBL Capacity

The 1894C SBL is a lever action carbine chambered in 357 Magnum/38 Special with a 6 round under barrel tubular magazine.  The magazine is loaded via a side loading gate on the right side of the receiver and cartridges are chambered and empty casing ejected by working the lever on the bottom of the receiver.
The 1894C SBL with an overall length of 33 ¾” and a weight of 6 pounds, is a perfect brush gun and loaded with premium 357 Magnum ammunition, makes a good hunting carbine in thick woods or brushy terrain for medium sized game. It is also a good choice for homestead defense for the same reasons.

Marlin 1894 CSBL Mobility

Marlin 1894 CSBL Ergonomics

Ergonomics
The 1894C SBL has a checkered pistol grip stock for a secure grip even in wet conditions. A latch built into the lever eliminated the finger lever lock on previous models which tended to pinch the shooter’s fingers during rapid firing. The side ejection port allows optics to be used without casing hitting the scope and in cold, humin regions like Alaska, the side ejection port was less likely to freeze shut as the top ejection ports used by competitors’ rifles.

Marlin 1894 CSBL Fit & Finish

The 1894C SBL has a stainless steel barrel and receiver seated in a laminated stock for excellent weather resistance. The receiver and barrel fit nicely and uniformly with the stock and forend with the internal parts offering smooth and reliable performance even when firing quick follow up shots.
