Until you’ve held and shot a Marlin, you don’t know what a lever-action rifle can be. The ultra-smooth cycling and solid feel are created through a superior receiver design, the finest materials and a flawless meshing of these high-quality components. To produce our trademark excellence, our lever actions are built to strict tolerances rivaling those used to craft custom rifles. Further, all major components of the action are machined from heat-treated, solid steel forgings. The Marlin lever action’s swift pointing characteristics, lightning-fast follow-ups, reliability and inherent accuracy have made it America’s favorite. And what started with the invention of the first flat-top, side-eject receiver in 1889 has led us to pioneer every major advancement in the lever-action category since.

Marlin 39A Capacity

The lever-action Marlin 39A employs a fixed tube magazine capable of holding 19 rounds of .22LR plus 1 in the chamber.  To load the Marlin 39A, remove the brass tube in side the magazine tube until the loading port is unobstructed, then load rounds into the magazine and replace the brass tube.
The Marlin 39A measures 40 inches long and has a weight of 6.5 pounds making it rather easy to carry through most environments.  Its lack of sharp edges and protruding contours prevent the 39A from getting caught on vegetation.
