An overboard barrel with lengthened forcing cone helps keep patterns consistent.

Remington 1100 Competition Ballistics

Remington 1100 Competition Capacity

The Remington 1100 Competition is a 12 gauge with a 4 round tubular magazine secured under the barrel. Loading is accomplished through the bottom of the receiver by pushing the 2 ¾”  shotshells directly into the magazine tube.

With the Remington 1100 Competition fitted with a 30 inch barrel and an overall length of 50.5 inches, it is meant for open sporting clay ranges and open fields, not woodlands. The weight at 8.4 pounds will not wear you out but you will know you were afield enjoying an American tradition.

Remington 1100 Competition Ergonomics

Ergonomics
The Remington 1100 Competition has an adjustable stock capable of custom fitting most shooters. Adjustments can be made to the length of pull, drop of comb, and drop at heel. The synthetic stock  offers a mild pebbled texture on the pistol grip for comfort on long shooting strings.

Remington 1100 Competition Fit & Finish

The Remington 1100 Competition sports a deep blued barrel and a silver-nickel finish on the receiver without embellishment. The synthetic stock features a carbon fiber dip finish with more aggressive checkering on the forend than the pebble pattern pistol grip for positive control without discomfort. There are some internal tool marks visible inside the receiver and the stock to frame fit is not as nice as the more expensive models designed for the skeet range.
