The Remington® R-25 Semi-Auto Rifle is built on the proven AR-10 platform, using the direct-impingement gas system, where gas is ported down a tube into the action to cycle the rotary bolt locking mechanism. The lack of an operating rod and piston allows the barrel to be free-floated, greatly improving inherent accuracy. Movement of the bolt carrier in-line with the bore, and the recoil spring inside the stock reduces recoil and muzzle jump considerably, allowing for rapid follow up shots at multiple targets or running game. The Model R-25's operation controls, including the bolt hold open/release, mag release, and forward assist, are the same as those of AR semi-automatic rifles. The Remington R-25 has a 20" fluted barrel that reduces weight and enhances heat dissipation. Both upper and lower are machined from rugged aluminum forgings, and a machined aluminum fore-end tube surrounds the free-floated barrel. A receiver-length Picatinny rail allows the attachment of AR tactical sights, or hunting scopes. A crisp, single-stage trigger comes from the factory set at 4-1/2 to 5 lbs. The Remington R-25 Semi-Auto Rifle comes with a 4-round magazine, and is compatible with aftermarket DPMS 308 Win-type magazines of greater capacity. Includes front and rear sling swivels. Remington R25 Features

The Remington R25 is an AR10 pattern rifle chambered in .308WIN with a 20 inch fluted barrel.  This rifle was designed to be durable and light weight, yet still accurate.  The receivers have been reduced in size and the bolt carrier has been lightened to shave off a few ounces.  To reduce weight further, the barrel is fluted while the free-floating handguard is made of carbon fiber, this also increasing accuracy.

Remington R25 Capacity

The Remington R25 is chambered in .308 Winchester and feeds from AR10 pattern magazines.  It ships with a 10-round magazine, however it can accept the standard 20 rounders as well as the 25 round mags.  The 50-round aftermarket drums also fit inside the magazine well and properly feed.
The Remington R25 measures 39 inches long and has an  unloaded weight of 7.25 pounds.  Even with an optic and a full magazine, this rifle is easily kept under 10 pounds giving you a very lightweight .308 that can easily be carried over long durations.

Remington R25 Ergonomics

Ergonomics
The R25 has identical controls to the AR15 and is set up for right-handed use.  The stock is fixed at an A2 length and includes a rubberized buttpad to counteract the recoil.  The pistol grip is a Hogue G10 style grip that provides plenty of comfortable friction and control.

Remington R25 Fit & Finish

The R25 has receivers made of 7075-T6 aircraft grade aluminum to match the Mil-Spec design with material removed to save weight.  The carbon fiber handguard and composite stock make for equally-capable canvases for the camo patterns that beautifully match up along the rifle.
