The Taurus 180 Curve pocket pistol – manufactured in the United States by Taurus International Manufacturing, the north American branch of the Brazilian Forjas Taurus conglomerate – is by far the oddest entry in the field of concealed carry pistols in years. First impact aside, however, the Taurus 180 Curve was not designed to be a crazy, fancy one-of-a-kind product. More pragmatically, Taurus designers and engineers were tasked to come out with an innovative subcompact pocket pistol that would be easily and comfortably carried in a pocket or a purse, featuring a red light laser sight and a set of emergency LED lights, and a design that would comfortably adapt to the natural curves of the human body (hence the monicker, "Curve") for a comfortable grip and a printless carry in most situations.

Taurus 180 Curve Features

The 180 Curve gets its name from the curved frame designed to fit the body for concealed carry. It features a combination light and laser integrated into the front of the trigger guard which can be programmed to operate independently or together with the power button. It has no sights but rather just a cross hair painted onto the back of the slide to line up with the intended target at very close ranges in self defense situations.

Taurus 180 Curve Fit & Finish

The 180 Curve is polymer framed with a steel slide. All edges are rounded, which gives the barrel a beveled end. The slide to frame fitment is on par with what you expect from Taurus. The internal parts are solid but the double action only trigger pull is long and heavy.
