Why is my gun jamming?

My rifle is jamming. I cleaned it after I shot it last a couple months ago and it won't cycle. Rounds keep stove piping.

The gun was designed when there were fewer ammo options. Make sure you're using standard velocity 40 grain ammo. If that doesn't do it, take it to a gunsmith for a detail cleaning.

If you're not using a synthetic lubricant, it may have started to evaporate and gotten gummy. I've seen it a lot with 22's that are "oiled" with Hoppes. Switch to a synethetic lubricant like 5w-20

Do I need to take the trigger group apart to clean it?
