Marlin 1895 Trapper Features

The Marlin 1895 Trapper is a carbine version of the 1895 used by Chris Pratt in Jurassic World, so this can probably be used to hunt dinosaurs as much as its longer, older brother.  The Trapper has a 16.17 inch barrel to reduce weight and increase mobility while still delivering all of the heavy-hitting firepower of the .45-70 round.

Marlin 1895 Trapper Capacity

The Marlin 1895 Trapper is chambered in .45-70 GOVT and feeds from a fixed 5-round tube magazine.  Rounds are loaded directly into the magazine tube through a loading gate located on the right side of the receiver.

With an unloaded weight of 7.1 pounds and an overall length of 34.25 inches, the 1895 Trapper is more easy to maneuver than almost any other lever-action .45-70 chambered rifle on the market.  With a length and weight nearly identical to a typical AR15, this lever action is easily moved through any environment.

Ergonomics
The 1895 Trapper has a standard wood stock that includes a half-pistol grip and an approximate 2 inch drop while the forend gives a classic old-west rifle feel.  The large-loop lever is easy and smooth to cycle even when you’re wearing gloves.

Marlin 1895 Trapper Fit & Finish

The Marlin 1895 Trapper is manufactured by Sturm, Ruger & Co. and thus is made from metal components that are heat treated to an incredibly high hardness that far surpasses the majority of other manufacturers.  The stock and handguard are made of laminate wood that keeps it incredibly durable as it absorbs the incredible kick from the .45-70 cartridge.
