The Beretta 692 Sporting Over/Under Shotgun is designed specifically for sporting clays competition and other shooting sports. The 692 uses a slightly wider receiver than the Beretta 680 series to enhance intuitive shouldering, balance, and quick target acquisition by placing more weight between the shooter's hands. The low-profile receiver provides for a fast swing and enhanced pointability. The two huge locking lugs and replaceable barrel shoulders ensure that the action stays tight for thousands of rounds. The Beretta 692 offers adjustability to tailor the shotgun to shooters' specific needs. The single-selective, inertia activated trigger adjusts, as well as extraction and ejection. The shotguns overall balance is also adjustable by means of weighted wads that insert into the buttstock. The Beretta 692 Sporting Over/Under Shotgun achieves consistently uniform shot patterns with OptimaBore® Steelium™ barrels that have super-long forcing cones. Beretta's Micro Core recoil pad reduces recoil, enabling shooters to stay on target for longer periods of time, and the pad is engineered with premium polymer material to flow smoothly to the shoulder without catching as some softer rubber buttpads do. The Beretta 692's elegant lines, with an oil finished, nicely figured walnut stock and fore-end, with finely cut checkering, high polished blued barrels and superb wood to metal fit on the receiver make the shotgun a highly functional work of art. Comes with 5 choke tubes and a hard case.

Beretta 692 Features

The Beretta 692 is another example of the incredible craftsmanship that Beretta puts into their break-action shotguns.  This 12 gauge over-under is built with 30 and 32 inch barrels, both with replaceable chokes that allow the user to determine their shot pattern downrange.  This gun has one trigger which allows the user to fire both shells without switching to a secondary trigger.  The barrels are vent-ribbed to provide a clearer sight picture when the barrels get hot.

Beretta 692 Capacity

The Beretta 692 is a 12-gauge with two barrels that each have 3” chambers.  Rounds are loaded by turning the barrel release lever on the top of the grip tang allowing the barrels to drop.  Place the shells into the chambers, and rotate the barrels back into position when ready to fire.  To eject the shells, break open the action again and the shells will be pushed out of the chamber via the ejectors.
The Beretta 692 weighs a touch over 8 pounds and measures 30 to 32 inches long depending on your barrel length.  While the weight does help to soften the recoil from the 12 gauge shells being fired, the gun’s balance allows for the fastest possible targeting as bright orange clay targets and elusive waterfowl race across the sky.

Beretta 692 Ergonomics

Ergonomics
The Beretta 692 has typical controls for a break-action over-under shotgun and has a very traditional grip and forend.  Where the 692 excels over the competition is in its adjustable cheek riser on the top of the stock and its incredible balance that places the center of gravity at the pivot pin between the barrels and the frame.

Beretta 692 Fit & Finish

Beretta has been making world-class shotguns for 400+ years and their craftsmanship is reflected in the 692.  Its receiver, pivot pin, trigger and trigger guard are made of stainless steel and have a modest amount of decorative engraving, the stock and forend are sanded smooth and sealed in a matte finish, and the barrel and other steel components are beautifully blued to protect from damage from weather and wear.
