FN F2000 Capacity

The FN F2000 is only capable of accepting metal STANAG (AR15 pattern) magazines, and they need to be the size of 30-round magazines.  While some states don’t allow possession of 30 round magazines, FN F2000 users will need to utilize 30 round sized magazines limited to their state’s allowed capacity.  Shorter 10 and 20 round magazines can be inserted into the magazine well, however they can get caught inside when the user attempts to clear the gun.
Measuring just under 30 inches long and with a weight just under 8 pounds, the bullpup FN F2000 is among the most mobile 5.56mm rifles available.  Its light weight allows it to be carried comfortably over long distances while its short length and contoured design allow it to excel in close-quarters environments and in dense vegetation.  Its bullpup configuration also allows for easy manipulation when the user is carrying the rifle in a vehicle.

FN F2000 Ergonomics

Ergonomics
The FN F2000 employs the liberal use of contouring and heavy use of polymers to offer the user a light and comfortable bullpup rifle.  The ambidextrous magazine release and safety, along with the forward-ejecting operation, allow both left- and right-handed users to comfortably fire this rifle without having to eat brass.  The fold-out charging handle is located only on the left side of the rifle and is capable of rotating upwards to manually lock the bolt back (which allows the user to give it the ol’ HK slap), and the height of the optics rail offers a comfortable cheek weld for virtually all users.

FN F2000 Fit & Finish

The FN FS2000 features a polymer shell as its receiver and includes the pistol grip and handguard into this single-piece design.  The pistol grip sits at a rather sharp angle which some may find uncomfortable, though it was designed to allow the rifle to have a shorter height.
