Mossberg 464 Features

Mossberg 464 Ergonomics

Ergonomics
The Mossberg 464 has a 9 inch forend that can be smooth or checkered and has a stock that can have a straight grip or a half-pistol grip.  Both options offer a very comfortable cheek weld with a drop that gives a good sight picture and reduces felt recoil.  On the XPS model, it uses an AR15 style adjustable stock just to annoy anti-gun politicians.

Mossberg 464 Fit & Finish

The Mossberg 464 is built on carbon-steel or stainless-steel receivers that are drilled and tapped to mount optics.  The stocks can be made of laminate wood, walnut, or composite materials with wood furniture being sealed with a matte clear coat.  Carbon steel parts are blued while stainless steel parts are sandblasted for a satin finish.
