Springfield Armory Saint Victor Features

The Springfield Armory Saint Victor is a semi-automatic, gas operated rifle that operates on an internal piston action with a multi-lug rotating bolt - the same operating system found in typical AR15 pattern rifles.  It has a 16 inch barrel set up with a mid-length gas system for  proper gas delivery into the bolt carrier group instead of being over-gassed like most 16” AR’s.

Springfield Armory Saint Victor Capacity

The Springfield Saint Victor is chambered in 5.56x45mmNATO (.223 Remington), 9mm and 7.62x51mmNATO (.308 Winchester) and feeds from standard AR pattern magazines.  This provides the user with capacities of 5, 10, 20, 30 and 40 rounds in standard box magazines and 50, 60 and 100 rounds with quad-stack and drum magazines.

Measuring 35 inches long with an unloaded weight just over 6.5 pounds, the Saint Victor has a comparable overall length to other 16” AR15 models while having a weight that slightly undercuts the competition giving it a better mobility score than most other ARs on the market.  The rifle is just as easy to maneuver through close quarter environments no matter the caliber.

Springfield Armory Saint Victor Ergonomics

The Saint Victor has standard right-handed fire controls but uses superior aftermarket furniture.  The pistol grip has more ergonomic contours with a slightly more vertical grip angle, the stock offers a SOPMOD style cheek weld, and the 15 inch handguard features an interrupted top rail to allow every style of support grip including the “exaggerated C-clamp” grip where your thumb sits over the rail.

Springfield Armory Saint Victor Fit & Finish

The Springfield Saint Victor is built on forged aluminum receivers with an aluminum handguard.  The internal components are all Mil-Spec and the chrome moly vanadium barrel features a melonite coating.  Props to Springfield for using a mid-length gas system allowing for a smoother recoil impulse compared to rifles built with a carbine gas system.
