Slam Fire?

Do you need to push the forend forward at a certain speed to slam fire this gun or does that not matter?

No, it doesn't have to be a certain speed. The sear that trips the hammer kinda acts like its own trigger so you can push that forend at any speed you want and it'll fire if you have the trigger down.
