What kind of long term maintenance can I expect for a Thompson?
These guns were designed over a hundred years ago. Are there any finicky parts or odd techniques I will need to keep it running? Disassembly seems to be a nightmare.

Keep to stick mags and not drums so the bolt locks back when empty, and store it with the bolt back. The recoil spring is heavy and the charging handle is sharp, so keeping it back is easier to load

Disassembly IS a nightmare. Use something hook-shaped to press the disassembly button.
Buy extra extractors because it's common that they can break
